Gene Milligan, a retired mechanical engineer, has more than 45 years experience in the aerospace and computer industries. He specializes in vibration and acoustics. Gene started building musical instruments as an apprentice at NBN Guitars in the 1970’s. He has since made hundreds of instruments. It will take approximately a week for your whistle to be shipped if it is engraved.

Gene combined his skills in acoustical engineering with musical instrument construction in 2006 to create the simple-to-play and lovely sounding “tin” whistles that he now makes. Gene’s engineering skills have enabled him to optimize the tube bore, mouthpiece size, and tone hole placement. His high level of musical instrument craftsmanship can be seen in the beautiful yet efficient combinations of exotic hardwoods, aerospace-age polymers, and other materials.

If you are cofused with your next tin whistle to purchase. Do your research before making a purchase.

Players around the globe have enthusiastically taken to Gene’s whistles.
